71 Plains Road East, Burlington

Official Plan Amendment and rezoning applications have been submitted by Brooklyn Contracting Inc. on behalf of the owners (Vrancor Group) in support of two mixed-use buildings with retail and service commercial uses at grade and rental residential units at 71 Plains Road East.

The proposal includes the development of 10- and 12-storey buildings with a total gross floor area of approximately 38,820 square metres, made up of 37,612 square metres of residential gross floor area and 1,208 square metres of non-residential gross floor area.

In total, 450 rental units with a variety of unit types and sizes including studio, one-bedroom, one-bedroom plus den, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units are proposed on Levels 1 through 10/12 for both buildings. Indoor and outdoor residential amenity areas are provided on the ground level of both buildings and on the roof of Level 1 (12 storey building).

At-grade and underground parking areas provide parking for 581 vehicles, including 29 on-street parking spaces.
